The plastic blades are brittle and I broke two of them on the edge of the sidewalk in the first 20 minutes. The metal blade works okay on thicker weeds, but it definitely bogs the motor down and drains the battery much faster. If you have a tidy, small yard that just needs a little touch-up, this is a decent value. If you’re tackling an overgrown jungle, this isn’t the tool for you. It’s a solid 3-star “it’s okay.”

The two batteries are the key. One was enough to do most of my front and back yard, but it was great to have a fresh one ready to pop in to finish the job without waiting for a recharge. Switching the heads is surprisingly easy. I used the plastic blade for general grass trimming and the metal blade for some tougher, thicker weeds near the back of my property, and it cut through them with no problem. I haven’t used the circular saw blade yet, but I’m glad I have it. This is the perfect all-in-one tool for the average homeowner.

It has more than enough power to keep my flower beds tidy and the grass along the porch trimmed. I can do my entire small yard on a single battery charge, but it gives me peace of mind to have the second one ready. This trimmer has given me back a bit of independence in my garden, and for that, it’s worth every penny. Highly recommended for seniors or anyone who struggles with heavy equipment.
